Commonwealth Club - Plan Your Fantastic Next Act
What do you want in 2019? There are times when you are compelled to make a change in your career. For some, it's identifying a "second act" or "encore career" later in life. For others, new knowledge and interests demand a career pivot. And still others have a Big Idea that they want to focus on.
In all cases it's imperative that you have a plan, set some goals, and that you can communicate your next move to those around you.
In this talk, "Plan Your Fantastic Next Act," Kristi will share steps for making your vision a reality, and tips to build the skills to communicate that vision. You will end the talk with the start of your own strategic plan and techniques for crafting your elevator pitch.

Negotiating for Success
October 30, 2018, 8:00 am - 1:30 pm
Kristi will be speaking on negotiation skills for women at Sue Mazzetti's Merrill Lynch Women's Life Journeys event.
Negotiating presents challenges for everyone, but women in particular struggle with it. Whether it's "imposter syndrome" or lack of confidence or fears that asking for what they want may have a negative impact on their careers, women negotiate about 1/3 as often as men.
But if you don't ask, you won't get what you deserve.
In this hands-on session, Kristi will divulge tips and techniques you can put into use in your current situation, from how to bolster your confidence to how body language can affect the outcome of your negotiation.
This half-day event, at the Culinary Institute of America in Napa, is by invitation only. Please contact us if you would like to attend.
